LIVERPOOL CONTACT JURGEN KLOPP BEFORE DECIDING ARNE SLOT’S FUTURE

Arne Slot is facing massive pressure moving into the final matchday of the Premier League season. The Dutch manager guided Liverpool to the Premier League title during his first campaign at Anfield.

However, expectations massively increased after the club spent heavily during a record-breaking summer transfer window.

As uncertainty grows around Slot’s future, Liverpool’s hierarchy have already started preparing possible alternatives.

Transfer News Live reported earlier that Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola remains the club’s leading target if Liverpool decide to make a managerial change.

But before making any final decision, Liverpool reportedly reached out to Jurgen Klopp, according to The Sun.

Klopp remains strongly connected to the club’s modern success. Reports claim Liverpool already contacted the former manager as discussions continue internally over Slot’s future.

It remains unclear whether the club approached Klopp for advice regarding the situation or explored the possibility of a sensational return to Anfield.

Liverpool owner John Henry reportedly even travelled to Palma de Mallorca, where Klopp currently lives.

Klopp remains one of the most loved figures in Liverpool’s history. He truly transformed the club during his unforgettable spell between 2015 and 2024.

Under the German, Liverpool won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and Club World Cup.

His Liverpool team also battled Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City during several historic title races.

Klopp famously rebuilt Liverpool into one of Europe’s strongest sides after years of inconsistency before eventually stepping away from management last year.

Since leaving Anfield, Klopp accepted a role as Head of Global Football for Red Bull.

Meanwhile, Guardiola’s departure from Manchester City this summer also marks the official end of one of English football’s greatest managerial rivalries.
