Marcos Llorente has been able to score the opening goal for Atletico Madrid in their 2026/27 UEFA Champions League opener against Liverpool at Anfield.
In the 17th minute of the game, the Spanish side were able to carve open the Reds backline with a clever pass into the box.
Llorente was able to move in from a right-back position all the way into the box, before scoring past Alisson with an emphatic finish.
However, the goal only happened because Milos Kerkez failed to properly track the Spaniard’s movement and even played him onside for that move.
That is why many Liverpool fans are slamming Kerkez’s role in the goal, as here are some reactions from X (Twitter).
MyLantaBreaves: “Kerkez is a MASSIVE liability!”
Swedishcars850: “What a disaster that was from Kerkez.”
LanreOkelana: “Who bought Kerkez! This guy is so freaking liability/”
Confused: “I’m sorry we’ve get ripped apart again with the same sort of goal we’ve allowed to be scored in the last few games & WTF was Kerkez doing!”
