SHOCKING DEAL: MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABUSING BUFFALO BILLS CORNERBACK CHRISTIAN WHY HE SIGNED ANOTHER YEARS WITH BENFORD LOCKS IN MASSIVE FOUR-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION!

Christian Benford Signs Four-Year Contract Extension with Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills cornerback Christian Benford is staying with the team for the long run. On Wednesday, he signed a four-year contract extension that will keep him with the Bills through the 2029 season.

“I’m feeling great,” Benford said after signing. “I’m thankful and blessed for this opportunity.”

Benford shared that contract discussions with General Manager Brandon Beane began after the season. He was confident about staying with the team that drafted him.

“We talked about keeping the bond strong and continuing the journey together,” Benford explained. “I love the coaches and staff here, so it was an easy decision.”

The extension comes after Benford’s impressive 2024 season. The fourth-year cornerback played in 15 games, finishing with 64 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

One of his standout moments was an interception against former Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Week 16, which he returned for 24 yards. Another highlight was a 43-yard fumble recovery against the 49ers in snowy conditions.

Benford’s strong performance earned him recognition from Pro Football Focus, ranking him as the sixth-best cornerback in the NFL for the 2024 season.

Despite the new deal, Benford remains focused on his goals.

“My mindset stays the same,” he said. “I want to be the best in the league and help take this team to the Super Bowl.”

Benford is the third player from the Bills’ 2022 draft class to sign an extension, joining Terrel Bernard and Khalil Shakir.

Reflecting on his journey, Benford said he would tell his younger self that all the hard work and struggles were worth it.

“All those late nights, the stress, the sacrifices—it all pays off,” he said. “God is always there, and you just have to keep pushing forward. I’d tell myself to smile more and enjoy the process.”

For Benford, this contract extension is about more than just football.

“This changes my life, my family’s life, and my legacy,” he said. “It only takes one person to believe in you, and that means everything.”

Since being drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Villanova, Benford has played in 39 games and started 34. Over three seasons, he has recorded five interceptions, 25 pass breakups, seven tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, one sack, and 141 tackles.

With his future secured, Benford is ready to keep proving himself on the field and help the Bills chase a championship.
