In the latest episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast, Hondo Carpenter discusses a new idea—a possible trade for quarterback Arch Manning from the Texas Longhorns. This trade could shape the team’s future.
Recently, new Raiders running back Raheem Mostert spoke at the team’s headquarters. Here are some highlights from his press conference:
Q: How do you see your role in this offense, and what made you choose the Raiders when you had other options?
Mostert: “Nice to meet you! First, I want to say I spoke with Pete [Carroll] and Chip [Kelly], and I’m just excited to get to work. My role will depend on what I can bring to the team. There are opportunities here, and I’m ready to take them. I just want to get on the field and make an impact.”
Q: You’ve lasted a long time in the NFL as a running back, which is rare. What’s been the key to your success, and what keeps you motivated?
Mostert: “Great question. The key is staying healthy. Every player has ups and downs with injuries, but I’ve managed to take care of my body. Also, performance matters—you have to keep producing at a high level. If you’re not performing, you won’t last long in this league. To grow as a player and help the team, you have to stay at your best.”
Q: You’ve played for teams like Miami and San Francisco. Now, you’re with the Raiders in Las Vegas. What excites you about being here?
Mostert: “Man, the Raiders have an incredible history—three Super Bowls, the legendary silver and black, the shield. It’s an honor to be part of it. The fan base is amazing. When I played for San Francisco, I saw how passionate Raiders fans were, and now, I get to be on their side. It’s going to be exciting to play here and give my all for this team.”
