Former pro golfer turned social media icon Paige Spiranac is entering a surprising new chapter in her career and fans are here for it.
At 32, the ex-LPGA player is joining forces with the innovative Par 3 golf competition, the Grass League, taking on a major executive role that marks a fresh start in the sport she once left behind.
Spiranac, who transitioned from a brief professional golf stint to online fame, announced her move in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter):
“I’m officially part of the Grass League’s front office.”
She added that her responsibilities will include brand building, driving fan engagement, shaping content strategy, recruiting emerging talent, and landing sponsorship deals.
The Grass League, a high-stakes Par 3 tournament that launched last year, features regional teams from across the U.S. and Canada competing on floodlit courses giving golf a fast-paced, primetime twist.
In a statement, the league described Spiranac as a “trailblazer” in both traditional golf and digital media, emphasizing her role in crafting the long-term strategy for growing the league’s reach across platforms from digital and broadcast to live fan experiences.
Her followers were quick to celebrate the news. One supporter wrote, “I’m so pumped for you,” while another praised her drive: “Congratulations, Paige. You’re a smart woman and totally deserve this. Go get ’em!”
Spiranac has amassed a huge social media presence, boasting over 4 million followers on Instagram. Her blend of instructional golf content and eye-catching photos has helped her become a prominent online personality since stepping away from professional golf.
After collegiate stints at the University of Arizona and San Diego State, she briefly played as a pro, but never found lasting success on the LPGA Tour. Instead of stepping away from the spotlight, Spiranac found a new calling in digital media.
Reflecting on her journey during a 2023 appearance on the Playing A Round podcast, she said:
“I had all the tools to be a top golfer, but I couldn’t make it click. It was maddening. Instead of giving up, I redirected that frustration into building something new in media.”
She continued, “Hard work and resilience have always been part of who I am — and in this space, the harder I work, the more success I see. That’s why this path feels more rewarding than my time in pro golf.”
Now, as a key figure behind one of golf’s newest and most daring formats, Paige Spiranac is proving her second act may be her strongest yet.
