Liverpool could spend £100 million to sign Newcastle Gordon

Liverpool are considering the signing of Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon, according to The Sun.

The source reports that the Merseyside club are ready to pay £100 million (€117 million) for the transfer of the 24-year-old. The reigning English champions see Gordon as an alternative to Bradley Barcola, whose sale was refused by PSG. Moreover, Liverpool’s interest in Gordon is also linked to the uncertainty surrounding the future of winger Luis Diaz at the club.

Last season, Gordon played in 42 matches across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists. According to Transfermarkt, the player’s market value is €65 million
