Lewis Hamilton Given Six Months to Prove Himself at Ferrari
Lewis Hamilton has been warned by a former driver that he has only six months to prove himself at Ferrari before the Italian media turns against him.
The seven-time world champion’s move to Ferrari was celebrated with great excitement. His arrival included a special week in Maranello and a big event in Milan, where thousands of fans came to see him in Ferrari red.
Big Expectations for Hamilton
Ferrari has not won a driver’s championship since Kimi Raikkonen in 2007. Many expect Hamilton to bring the team back to winning ways. Despite being 40 years old, Hamilton seems full of energy and motivation. After pre-season testing, he said he felt more positive than ever. He even suggested he might continue racing into his 50s.
Can Hamilton Win a Title with Ferrari?
Hamilton dreams of winning his eighth world title with Ferrari, which would be a historic achievement. He is also reuniting with team boss Fred Vasseur, who helped him in his early racing days in GP2 (now F2).
However, former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher is not convinced that Hamilton’s move will be a success. He believes that if Hamilton does not perform well in his first six months, the Italian media will quickly turn on him.
Schumacher’s Warning
“Unlike Michael Schumacher, Lewis is near the end of his career,” Ralf Schumacher told Sport1. “Time affects everyone, and we see this in qualifying, where every second counts.”
He added, “The first six months are very important. The passionate Italian press will not wait for long. If things do not go well, the excitement will quickly turn into criticism.”

Hamilton will need to adapt quickly to his new team and deliver strong results early in the season. If he can meet expectations, he has a chance to make history with Ferrari. If not, he may face intense pressure from fans and media alike.
