Inside the Beckham ‘feud’: Brooklyn Beckham says Nicola Peltz will always come first.

As Brooklyn Beckham declares he’ll always put wife Nicola Peltz first, we take a closer look at the widening divide within Britain’s unofficial second royal family.

Things seem tense in the Beckham household, with feud rumours swirling for over a month—fueled by the noticeable absence of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz-Beckham from several recent family gatherings.

Conflicting signals continue to emerge: just last week, Brooklyn appeared to dodge a meeting with his father while both were in London, despite being only five minutes apart. Yet, days later, David and Victoria shared a photo featuring a framed family portrait prominently including Brooklyn  displayed on the table beside them.

However, on Sunday, Brooklyn Beckham made his loyalties unmistakably clear by sharing a video of himself with Nicola Peltz on Instagram, captioned: “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person I know xx me and you forever baby.”

This followed Brooklyn’s decision not to visit his family during a trip to London for a Moncler photoshoot in the city’s west end even though, at the same time, David Beckham was just around the corner attending the Chelsea Flower Show.

According to the Daily Mail, after wrapping up his shoot, Brooklyn Beckham headed straight back to his Park Lane hotel with Nicola Peltz despite the fact that the Beckham family’s Holland Park home was just a five-minute walk away. The couple has since returned to their home in Los Angeles.

In the meantime, Victoria Beckham seems to be trying to ease the feud speculation. On May 19, she posted a nostalgic family photo  including Brooklyn  alongside her father Tony to mark his birthday, adding in her Instagram story, “We both love you all so much.”

The Sun reports that Victoria is the most eager to repair the rift, with insiders suggesting that Harper Beckham’s upcoming 14th birthday could present an opportunity for reconciliation. However, hopes of a reunion were dampened by another source who said, “It doesn’t seem likely at the moment.”

For the Beckhams, family is everything.

Widespread reports suggest the Beckham feud traces back to December, when Romeo Beckham began dating London-born DJ Kim Turnbull — who, according to TMZ, is a former girlfriend of Brooklyn’s.

However, the situation appears to be more complicated. Cruz, the youngest Beckham sibling, addressed the rumors on Instagram, clarifying that Brooklyn and Kim were never a couple. “Brooklyn and Kim never dated,” he stated in a comment replying to fans speculating about the source of the feud.

What is clear, however, is that the two London natives spent time together during their teenage years, with 26-year-old Beckham and 24-year-old Turnbull seen flirting around the same period she was also romantically linked to another celebrity offspring  Rocco Ritchie, the son of Madonna and Guy Ritchie.

This all took place around 2017, before Beckham and Turnbull seemingly drifted apart. Fast forward to now, and Turnbull has reentered the picture this time officially dating a Beckham brother. She’s now in a confirmed relationship with 22-year-old Romeo Beckham, who was previously linked to photographer Gray Sorrenti and longtime ex-girlfriend, model Mia Regan.

Romeo Beckham and Kim Turnbull are now a firmly established couple, regularly attending family gatherings and appearing in group photos alongside David and Victoria Beckham. However, insiders suggest that their relationship may be at the heart of the growing tension between Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, and the rest of the family.

Ever since Turnbull reentered the scene, Brooklyn and Nicola have noticeably skipped family gatherings. According to TMZ, their absence isn’t due to lingering feelings or jealousy, but stems from concerns about Turnbull’s “intentions” toward Romeo.

Speculation around the feud intensified last month when Brooklyn and Nicola were notably absent from David Beckham’s early 50th birthday celebrations an event attended by every other key member of the Beckham family.

Next came Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz-Beckham’s third wedding anniversary on April 9, and fans were quick to point out that no family members publicly acknowledged the occasion  fueling even more speculation about ongoing tensions.

On April 17, Victoria Beckham marked her 51st birthday surrounded by her close-knit family  with the notable exception of Brooklyn and Nicola. While most of the Beckham clan celebrated with Victoria aboard the family’s superyacht in Miami, Brooklyn and Nicola were enjoying themselves at Coachella instead.

Fans also picked up on the fact that neither Brooklyn nor Nicola posted any birthday wishes for Victoria on social media, unlike the rest of the family. David led the tributes by sharing nostalgic photos of Victoria with their children, writing: “Happy Birthday Mummy. We all love you sooooo much,” and adding, “Happy Birthday to the most amazing Wife, Mummy & Best Friend that we could all wish for. Have the most perfect day because you deserve to and we love you so much.”

Romeo chimed in with a heartfelt message: “Happy Birthday to the most amazing mum, keep shining and making us all proud, love you lots.” Meanwhile, 20-year-old Cruz added, “Happy Birthday to the most inspirational mum, you have done everything for us.”

At the same time, some subtle tension appeared in the Instagram comments. On a post by Mia Regan, Romeo’s ex-girlfriend, Nicola Peltz left a comment saying, “So beautiful Mia,” accompanied by sparkle and pink heart emojis. A few days later, Cruz left a similar comment under Romeo’s post “So beautiful Romeo” to which Romeo replied with laughing emojis.

Brooklyn Beckham is reportedly ignoring his parents’ efforts to reconnect with him.

A source told the Daily Mail that “there has been no call, no contact, nothing” from Brooklyn. “As parents, David and Victoria are very concerned and have tried to reach out, but he isn’t interested.”

“David even attempted to connect through social media last Monday,” the source added. “He worries that his son might not realize how deeply he and Victoria love him otherwise. It’s a very sad situation. They just want him to know they’re there when he’s ready to talk, but he seems completely uninterested.”

The source also claimed, “Nicola must be behind this; she has been driving a wedge for some years now.”

In a surprising development, the Mail reported that Brooklyn and Nicola sought advice from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The source revealed: “There was shared common ground… Nicola and Meghan also had a ‘deep n’ meaningful’ conversation, as both women have been portrayed in the media as homewreckers  accused of tearing apart their husbands’ families.”

“Harry and Meghan showed great empathy and kindness to both Nicola and Brooklyn. Harry, fully aware of the situation, offered Brooklyn his steadfast support, having gone through similar experiences himself.”

Despite the ongoing drama, Nicola and Brooklyn have continued to share actively on social media, posting about trips to Coachella, promoting melanoma awareness month, and attending an Airbnb launch party celebrating Brooklyn’s collaboration with the brand.

Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, Romeo seems closer than ever to his parents. A former Brentford B team player with a strong passion for football though ironically an Arsenal fan, much to the amusement of his Manchester United legend father Romeo and David are often seen attending matches together. Earlier this year, Romeo, Harper, and Victoria showed their support for David at an Inter Miami game, where David has been a co-owner since 2014. Since stepping away from football, Romeo has also ventured into fashion, following in his mother Victoria’s footsteps and strengthening their bond.

However, the relationship between David, Victoria, Brooklyn, and Nicola hasn’t always been smooth. Rumors of a feud surfaced around 2022 during Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding preparations, reportedly causing tension between the two couples over wedding plans.

In the years since, the situation seemed to improve, with Nicola attending Victoria’s fashion shows and the two women frequently sharing photos together and posting supportive messages on social media.

That period of calm now appears to be over. The feud rumors intensified significantly when Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David’s official 50th birthday party in London.

All signs suggested they would attend after all, the couple even passed on the Met Gala and flew in from the U.S. specifically for the celebration.

Yet, once again, they were noticeably absent. TMZ reported that the absence was linked to Brooklyn requesting that Kim Turnbull be uninvited from the event; when the family refused, Brooklyn and Nicola returned to the States.

As a result, Brooklyn also missed the boys’ family fishing trip, with David attending alongside only Romeo and Cruz.

On Instagram, David Beckham expressed his feelings, writing: “You were missed @brooklynpeltzbeckham.
