RAVENS OWNER STEVE BISCIOTTI WANTS TO WIN ANOTHER SUPER BOWL NOW
At the NFL annual owners’ meetings, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti joined Head Coach John Harbaugh for an interview. He talked about many things, including his strong desire to win another Super Bowl.
The Ravens are one of the most successful teams in the league. In 2024, they won their second straight AFC North title and made the playoffs for the sixth time in seven seasons.
That’s a great record, but Bisciotti is focused on winning championships. It has been 12 years since the Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII, and he doesn’t want to wait any longer for another one.
“I want to win now,” Bisciotti said when asked about the team’s future. “I want to win with these guys.”
The Ravens have a strong team, led by quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has won the MVP award twice and is still only 28 years old. Bisciotti believes the team is close to winning a Super Bowl, despite last season’s tough playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.
“We have a window with Lamar,” he said. “We have worked hard to put ourselves in a position to win. That’s all you can do.”
He admitted that starting over each year is frustrating but said winning in the NFL is tough.
Jackson has made it clear that he wants to win a Super Bowl, but Bisciotti said the entire organization shares that goal.
“It’s not just about Lamar,” Bisciotti said. “I want it for Ronnie Stanley, for Marlon Humphrey, for (General Manager) Eric DeCosta. I don’t like waiting 12 years, but I know some other owners have never won one. Being impatient is good sometimes because it keeps us motivated.”is
At the coaches’ breakfast during the meetings, Harbaugh shared his thoughts on what the Ravens need to do to win a championship. First, they must perform well in the 2025 regular season to make the playoffs. Then, they need to play their best football when it matters most.
“We haven’t been able to put together three or four great playoff games in a row to win the Super Bowl,” Harbaugh said. “That’s what makes it so hard. Only one team wins it each year, but we believe we are good enough. Now, we just have to find a way to do it.”
