Emma Raducanu had a health issue during her match against Jessica Pegula at the Miami Open. She lost the match 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-2. Before this, she had defeated four American players, including eighth seed Emma Navarro, to reach the quarter-finals.
During the second set, Raducanu needed medical help on the court. A doctor checked her vitals before she continued playing.
Her long match with Pegula caused a delay in the schedule. Because of this, Novak Djokovic’s match against Sebastian Korda was canceled. Djokovic was supposed to play fifth on the main court, but ATP rules do not allow matches to start after 11 pm local time.
As a result, Djokovic had to play the next day, where he defeated Korda and advanced to the semi-finals.
