Ohio State Football Team Loses Several Players to Transfer Portal
The Ohio State Buckeyes have seen a significant exodus of players to the transfer portal in recent weeks. As of now, 13 players have entered the portal, seeking opportunities elsewhere.
One of the most notable departures is quarterback Air Noland, who has transferred to South Carolina. Noland, a former four-star recruit, spent two seasons with the Buckeyes but saw limited playing time. He’ll join the Gamecocks, who are looking to rebuild their offense.
Another player leaving Columbus is wide receiver Kojo Antwi, who has committed to Colorado State. Antwi, a sophomore, appeared in just two games for the Buckeyes last season. He’ll join the Rams, who are looking to bolster their receiving corps.
Defensive back Calvin Simpson-Hunt is also departing, having transferred to Baylor. Simpson-Hunt, a freshman, saw action in three games last season but will now join the Bears, who are rebuilding their secondary.

The mass exodus of players has raised some concerns among Buckeyes fans, but it’s worth noting that the transfer portal is a natural part of college football. Many players seek new opportunities for various reasons, and Ohio State’s depth and talent pool should help mitigate the losses.
