Manchester City director Hugo Viana has reportedly held talks with the agent of Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, who is also a transfer target for Liverpool.

Kroupi looks like he surely has a big future in the game, and it is our understanding that Liverpool and Chelsea are also among the 19-year-old’s main suitors ahead of the summer.

Still, according to the latest update from Sacha Tavolieri in his Sky column, Man City have now also been in contact over a potential deal as Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the player.

Eli Junior Kroupi looks set for big transfer this summer

It seems pretty clear now that Kroupi is going to have a lot of options available to him this summer, though it’s not yet clear if there’s one fully established favourite for his signature yet.

The youngster has developed well at Bournemouth and it looks like it’s going to be very hard for the Cherries to keep hold of him.

However, this is also a fairly standard development for the club, who have often cashed in on star names for a significant profit without letting standards drop.

Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez left last summer and Antoine Semenyo then moved to City in January, but Andoni Iraola’s side have continued to shine.

Where should Eli Junior Kroupi go next?

Kroupi himself now has a decision to make, as it can’t be that easy for any player to pick between big names like City and Liverpool.

The former Lorient ace could do well to link up with an all-time great manager like Guardiola, but it might also be harder to play regularly due to being up against so much competition at the Etihad Stadium.

There might be a more obvious role to fill at Liverpool, with the Reds in need of a top attacking signing to replace Mohamed Salah.

Still, it’s been a poor season for LFC and that might make players think twice about that project as it could lead to uncertainty over the future of manager Arne Slot in months ahead.
