In a summer of many managerial changes, the future of Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris is one to keep a close eye on. Le Bris defied the odds to lead the Black Cats to promotion from the Championship and they have enjoyed a strong first season back in the Premier League. The Wearsiders’ ambitious owners, Swiss businessman Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and partner Juan Sartori, have not ruled out looking at possible replacements for Le Bris. Sunderland are 11th in the table, but only four points outside the top six. Curtain call? Curtis Jones is strongly considering bringing his 16-year Liverpool career to an end. Jones, 25, who joined the Premier League champions aged nine, is understood to have become frustrated after starting only 13 Premier League games this season. The England international was subject of strong interest from Italian giants Inter Milan in the January transfer window. Aston Villa have also added Jones to their list of summer targets while Tottenham would be keen if they avoid relegation. Liverpool are planning a summer rebuild after putting their faith in manager Arne Slot, who, as previously reported by talkSPORT, retains the backing of the board. Jones is about to enter the final year of his contract so the Reds either need to sell or offer a new deal. Carri on? Michael Carrick’s hopes of getting the Manchester United job full-time have been boosted by Old Trafford sources playing down a potential move for Julian Nagelsmann. Nagelsmann has been touted for the United job owing to his close relationship with Red Devils’ recruitment guru Christopher Vivell. However the Germany boss is not currently seen as a genuine candidate, not least because he is tied up at least until after the World Cup. United chiefs are reluctant to wait until the tournament ends in July, knowing this is a big summer for the club.
