Liverpool are poised to transform their attacking line with the imminent signing of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike in a £79 million deal, but transfer expert Ben Jacobs reveals the Reds are not stopping there.
The Premier League champions are eyeing a sensational double swoop, with Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak still a prime target despite his £120 million-plus valuation.
Jacobs suggests the “unthinkable” could happen, with Liverpool potentially landing both Ekitike, a 23-year-old French striker who scored 22 goals last season, and Isak, a proven Premier League star, though such ambition would require significant outgoings.
He added: “This is where the links with Rodrygo and Gordon come in. But Liverpool are not done yet, and in addition to probably adding another attacker, another centre-back is likely to come.””
