Away from the England squad news, Mohamed Salah will be out of action for Liverpool this weekend.

Mohamed Salah for Liverpool.

The Reds take on Brighton on Saturday lunchtime, live on talkSPORT.

Salah was substituted in the 74th minute of their midweek 4-0 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has now revealed that the Egyptian winger has a muscle injury.

“It’s unusual (for him to ask to come off),” he said in his press conference on Friday.

“As a result, you can expect the outcome that he is not available for tomorrow.

“The good thing for us (Liverpool) that we go into an international break, but the bad thing for him is that he can’t go, but we are hoping that Mo can recover.

“He’s shown in the past that he does that faster than other players. He takes such good care of his body. It’s only two weeks until we are back again, we can hope in that period of time he can be back.”
