Jack Draper has a big opportunity to reach the Indian Wells quarter-finals for the first time on Wednesday. The British No. 1 will face Taylor Fritz, the tournament’s third seed, in an exciting match.

Fritz, a former Indian Wells champion, is one of three American players still competing for the title, along with Ben Shelton and Brandon Nakashima.

Draper, the 13th seed, has a good record against Fritz. He leads their past meetings 2-1 and won their last match in October at the Paris Masters in three sets.

Draper started his Indian Wells campaign with a second-round win over young wildcard Joao Fonseca, after receiving a bye in the first round. He then defeated American Jenson Brooksby in straight sets in the third round.

Fritz began by beating Italy’s Matteo Gigante in the second round. In his third-round match, he needed three sets to get past Chile’s Alejandro Tabilo, the 30th seed.

Now, Draper and Fritz will battle for a place in the quarter-finals.
