Liverpool fans believe they have one of the best players in the world following his masterclass against Atletico Madrid.
Liverpool opened their Champions League campaign with a 3-2 victory over Atletico at Anfield.
The hosts raced into a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah, but the visitors drew level through a Marcos Llorente brace.
Virgil van Dijk, however, restored his side’s lead when he headed home in stoppage time to secure all three points.
Alexander Isak made his debut as he played from the start, with fans coming to an instant verdict on the £125 million man.
People on social media also made their feelings known about Ryan Gravenberch, who delivered a commanding performance in the middle of the park.
Gravenberch controlled the game from midfield and dictated the tempo of the European clash.
Liverpool fans hailed his showing against Atletico and dubbed him the ‘best midfielder in the world’.
One X user wrote: “Ryan Gravenberch is one of the best midfielders in Europe. He is now operating at that level.”
A second said: “Ryan Gravenberch is one of the best players in the world.”
A third added: “I don’t think it’s over exaggeration when I say Gravenberch is the most complete midfielder in the world.”
Another commented: “Nah, it’s not even hyperbole to say Ryan Gravenberch is arguably the best midfielder in Europe. He’s a joke.”

Gravenberch, 23, has come into his own since the arrival of Arne Slot, who has got the best out of his fellow countryman.
The Dutchman played 49 games across all competitions last season, including 37 league appearances – underlining his importance.
He missed his side’s Premier League opener through suspension but has played every game since.
Gravenberch scored in Liverpool’s thrilling victory over Newcastle United and produced a masterful showing against Burnley on Sunday.
He’s expected to start when the Reds resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday against cross-city rivals Everton.
