Milos Kerkez only moved to Liverpool in the summer, and he has certainly had a difficult start to his career on Merseyside so far this term.
The left-back was dropped by Slot for the win over Real Madrid in the Champions League at the start of November, but that hasn’t stopped him from throwing him back into the team in recent weeks.
Kerkez started for his team once again in the capital this weekend, and he turned in a mixed display.
The Hungary international created a chance and completed five defensive actions, but he also lost over 55 per cent of his duels throughout the contest.
Another supporter labelled it “a disgrace” that the former Bournemouth man was given the nod ahead of Andy Robertson, while another chose to criticise his attacking play.
One fan even went as far as to call Kerkez a “brainless” player.
Andy Robertson’s future at Anfield is clear
Robertson has been a phenomenal servant for Liverpool over the years, but the writing now appears to be on the wall for him after Kerkez’s arrival in the summer.
The Scot has been limited to just two starts in the Premier League so far this term, and he has largely been forced to settle for brief substitute cameos all season.
The indication from Slot is that Kerkez is clearly the preferred option, regardless of his string of below-par performances at times in 2025-26.
Robertson is certainly not the kind of player who will try to rock the boat and force an exit from Anfield in January, but if his lack of football continues, then it would be no surprise to see him move on next summer.
