One of the top offensive tackles in the 2025 class, Gregory Patrick, continues to be one of the most sought-after linemen in the country. The 6-foot-6, 305-pound standout from Houston (TX) Westlake has been steadily narrowing his focus as spring approaches, and he recently gave an in-depth look at where his recruitment stands.
Patrick, ranked as a top-50 national prospect and one of the top five offensive tackles in the cycle, has seen his stock skyrocket following a dominant junior season. With over 30 offers in hand, he has begun trimming his list and focusing on schools that match his goals both on and off the field.
“I’ve been taking my time with it,” Patrick said. “I want to make sure I find the right fit. It’s about development, culture, and how I feel around the coaching staff. I don’t want to rush anything, but I am starting to see which schools are standing out.”
According to Patrick, programs like Texas, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Oklahoma have been pushing the hardest. He’s already made multiple visits to Austin and Tuscaloosa and says he’s working on setting up official visits this summer.
“Texas is home, and I’ve built a great relationship with Coach Flood,” Patrick shared. “They’ve shown me how I can fit into their offense, and it’s exciting to see the way they develop guys for the next level. But I’m keeping my options open because there are a lot of great programs recruiting me.”
Patrick added that he plans to have a top group announced by late spring and hopes to commit before the start of his senior season. In the meantime, he’s focusing on improving his game and staying healthy heading into spring practices.
“I’m just working to get stronger and more technical,” Patrick said. “I want to dominate my senior year, and then after that, be ready to help whichever program I choose from day one.”
With his combination of size, athleticism, and work ethic, Patrick is expected to be one of the most coveted linemen through the rest of the 2025 cycle, and his recruitment will continue to be one to watch closely.
