Dominik Szoboszlai – 9, Wirtz – 8: Liverpool player ratings in win over Real Madrid

Liverpool secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Real Madrid at Anfield, with Alexis Mac Allister’s decisive goal proving enough to separate the two sides. The Reds put in a composed team performance, and several players stood out with impressive displays.
Here’s how each Liverpool player rated in the clash:

Giorgi Mamardashvili – 7/10
Quiet for most of the first half, but made a couple of important saves in quick succession to keep Liverpool in control.

Conor Bradley – 8/10
A standout performance on the right. Went up against Vinicius Jr and defended impressively, recalling his iconic challenge on Mbappe last season.

Ibrahima Konate – 7/10
Proactive and strong in tackles, comfortable on the ball. This was arguably his best display of the season.

Virgil van Dijk – 8/10
Conceded a couple of fouls but generally solid. Didn’t have to deal with as much direct threat from Mbappe as expected.
Andy Robertson – 8/10
Reliable at the back with a generally solid performance. Recovered well after one sloppy touch that allowed Arda Guler space.

Ryan Gravenberch – 7/10
Sat deep in midfield, strong defensively and on the ball. Had limited opportunities to drive forward compared to previous matches.

Alexis Mac Allister – 8/10

Another excellent performance from the Argentine. Broke the deadlock and was a constant threat, building on his strong showing against Aston Villa.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 9/10
High energy throughout, pressed brilliantly and contributed off the ball. Should have scored when Wirtz set him up, but Courtois made a fine save. Assisted the opener.

Mohamed Salah – 6/10
Struggled to find space against Real Madrid and lacked his usual creativity. Had a late chance to score but missed, far from the impact he showed last season.

Hugo Ekitike – 8/10
Thrived in open spaces, linked play well, led the press, and drew fouls effectively. A key figure in Liverpool’s attacking structure.

Florian Wirtz – 8/10
Versatile on both flanks, pressing and creating chances effectively. Dominated the technical aspects of the game and consistently threatened Real Madrid.
