Arne Slot loved what he saw from Florian Wirtz in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Brighton in their recent Premier League clash.
Speaking about the German midfielder’s display, the gaffer noted: “The way he handles the ball. How comfortable he is with that.
“I think he is also one of the players I say when he is getting better and better. He is getting stronger and stronger. All the hard work the players have put in over the last few months is paying off.
“After so many games played it is a week where hopefully we can recover a little bit. There will be some training time.”
Wirtz remains without a goal or assist in the 2025/26 Premier League, but his performances are getting better and it’s only a matter of time before he explodes with goal contributions.
