Szoboszlai – 9, Konate – 6.5: Rating Liverpool players in the Aston Villa win

Dominik Szoboszlai – 9/10
Back in the number 10 role, led the press and was central to much of Liverpool’s attacking play. Had a free-kick saved and should have scored after robbing Torres, but otherwise an excellent performance.

Ryan Gravenberch – 8/10
Energetic performance in midfield, covering lots of ground and plugging gaps. Took chances to shoot, resulting in a deflected second goal.

Mohamed Salah – 8/10
Controlled the game before halftime but had a few poor touches and decisions. Finished well to score the opener and delivered a strong second-half display.

Giorgi Mamardashvili – 8/10
Made solid saves from distance and stayed comfortable, especially in the second half. Watched one shot hit the post.

Conor Bradley – 7/10
Faced a tough battle with McGinn but recovered well multiple times, including a key challenge on Guessand in the second half.

Virgil van Dijk – 7/10
Made a crucial block to deny Guessand and helped maintain Liverpool’s high press. Reliable when covering defensively.

Andy Robertson – 7/10
Dependable on the left, took set-pieces and pushed forward when possible. Could now reclaim his place as first choice.
