Liverpool bosses have reportedly made a decision regarding Arne Slot’s future following the Reds’ 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
A much-changed Liverpool side, which saw Freddie Woodman and Kieran Morrison make their debuts, suffered another defeat to Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
The south London club recorded their third win over Liverpool this season, having also beaten them in the Community Shield and the Premier League.
This defeat was Liverpool’s sixth in the last seven games, with their only win in this period coming in a 5-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.
So, with Liverpool out of the Carabao Cup and lagging behind Arsenal in the Premier League title race, questions are being asked about Slot and his team, despite the Dutch coach still enjoying the “credit” after the title won in his first season as manager.

If results don’t change, pressure will continue to mount over Slot’s position, with journalist Fabrizio Romano revealing what he knows about Liverpool’s board’s feelings about the current situation during an appearance on his YouTube channel.
“Liverpool absolutely, within the club… and when I say within, I mean the hierarchy, the owners, all the people at the club, really, really believe in Arne Slot.”
“They are 100 percent convinced that Arne Slot is the best coach to manage this situation.”
