Liverpool manager Arne Slot has opened up about why goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher left the club, offering a clearer explanation than ever before.
Slot said that after spending several seasons as Alisson Becker’s understudy, Kelleher felt it was finally time to play regular first-team football. Although the club valued him highly, Slot admitted that being stuck on the bench for too long can harm a player’s development and motivation.
