Liverpool fans are convinced they have spotted a hidden dig at Trent Alexander-Arnold after the club confirmed the squad numbers for the 2025/26 season.
Liverpool have recruited heavily this summer, signing the likes of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Hugo Ekitike.
And they continue to explore their options to add Alexander Isak to their Premier League title-winning squad.
Ahead of the new season, the Reds have announced the squad numbers, having brought in several players this summer – with a hint being dropped amid their pursuit of Newcastle United forward Isak.

Isak’s potential Liverpool number wasn’t the only detail that caught the attention of their fanbase.
Liverpool supporters online believe the club poked fun at Trent Alexander-Arnold by handing Conor Bradley the No.12 shirt.

Bradley has switched from No.84 to No.12, which is the same number as Alexander-Arnold at Real Madrid following his summer transfer.
Once Liverpool fans heard of the change, they claimed Bradley is the best right-back to wear the No.12 shirt.
One X user wrote: “Bradley #12 is so petty btw but I’m here for it.”
A second said: “Congratulations to Conor Bradley, who is now undoubtedly the best right back in the world to wear #12.”
A third added: “Conor Bradley is the best Right Back in the world to wear number 12.”
A fourth exclaimed: “They actually have Bradley the #12 to sock it to that rat.”
