Footage Emerges of Luis Diaz Saying ‘Goodbye’ to His Liverpool Teammates

Another Liverpool player appeared to be spotted potentially saying goodbye to his teammates alongside Luis Diaz in footage that has emerged on social media. Diaz looks set to join Bayern Munich in a deal worth £66m, having expressed to Arne Slot as long ago as the start of last season that he was eager to leave the club.

After keeping him during the Premier League title-winning campaign, the club have now acquiesced to his request, allowing the Colombian to leave their pre-season tour of Japan in order to complete a move to Bavaria. However, in footage that has come to light online, it seems that the 28-year-old may not have been the only one bidding farewell to his peers and the Reds faithful.

Liverpool Attacker Appears to Say Goodbye

The forward has been touted with a move away

In the footage released online which was taken following Arne Slot’s men’s 4-2 defeat to AC Milan where 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha stole the show, Diaz appears to be seen saying goodbye to some of his Liverpool cohorts, including club captain Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.

The former Porto man isn’t alone though, as striker Darwin Nunez can also be seen handing out the same treatment, while also being spotted deep in conversation with Salah as the players do a post-match lap of honour to applaud the fans who turned up to see them in Singapore.

Nunez’s future at Anfield is also up in the air after three turbulent seasons on Merseyside. The Uruguayan has had moments of chaotic brilliance but has lacked any consistency needed of a striker that cost the club £85 million. With Hugo Ekitike arriving this summer and rumours that Alexander Isak could also be a primary target for Slot, it seems increasingly likely that Nunez will also be shown the exit door.

One of the more likely destinations appears to be Saudi Arabia, with the player open to the switch. However, it remains to be seen if anyone will bite on the £65 million valuation that Liverpool hold over the striker.
