With the new Premier League campaign less than a month away, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is the early bookies favourite to win the 2025/26 PFA Player of the Year award.
We haven’t even crowned the winner of this year’s PFA awards and bookmakers Betfair are debating who could potentially lift the individual prize in 2026.
Saka, who was one of Arsenal‘s standout performers in 2024/25 with 12 goals and 13 assists, is currently the early favourite at 13/2 as Mikel Arteta’s side are expected to challenge for the Premier League title again.
The England international is certainly a consistent performer. He is one of only three Premier League players to reach double figures for both goals and assists across all competitions in each of the last three seasons, alongside Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes.
Florian Wirtz is predicted to challenge Saka following his debut season at Liverpool. The German playmaker is currently priced at 7/1 to win the PFA award, while England internationals Phil Foden and Cole Palmer are 8/1 favourites.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom gave an insight into the odds ahead of next month’s opening day Premier League fixtures.
“Bukayo Saka is the early favourite to win the 2025/26 Player of the Year award,” he said. “The Arsenal star is 13/2 to pick up the esteemed prize, having played a key role in Arsenal’s Champions League campaign which saw them reach the semi-finals.
Liverpool new boy Florian Wirtz trails at 7/1 with Phil Foden and Cole Palmer 8/1 contenders. Elsewhere, Matheus Cunha is 33/1 and Noni Madueke a 40/1 outsider following his move to Arsenal.”
